IQ Test

Ok, so I don’t doubt that I own some smarts, however I must say very humbly- I am also not always the sharpest tack in the box.  In fact I can say with some confidence that I’m often quite far away from the cleverest person in the room- I have just enough smarts to know that I’m not smarter than you.  I know this to be fact because my brain often strains itself, engaging in some real hard slogging to complete the simplest of tasks. 

I am indulging in this self-deprecation because I was procrastinanting tonight, and decided (naturally) to do a couple of online IQ tests (yes, more than one), and I think my scores were much too high.  So obviously the tests that I did were far too easy.  For example this one, gave me a ridiculous set of statistics that cannot possibly be true- even assuming that those who completed this test were of (very) average intelligence, there is absolutely no way that I can legitimately be considered to be within the ‘100th percentile’ in each category that this test measures …. Thus, I request of you-do this test and tell me (if not your score), then whether it is indeed designed to be one big ego stroke to your intelligence.  Go forth and test yourselves!  

Update: When I told friends that I had attempted a couple of IQ tests on the internet in an attempt to vaguely gauge my intelligence in a completely arbitrary and unnecessary way- and that my scores were stupidly high- everybody laughed at me.  Thanks guys!
